This film was a financial success for the makers as this film collected INR 15 crores from Kerala alone and INR 25 crores from worldwide including satellite and other digital platforms despite theaters shutdowns all over India due to the Covid pandemic guidelines.
First the story of this movie starts from a little boy and his father at a meat shop. The boy is shown smuggling heads and bodies of various animals home and preserving them in jars under his bed. Later his father gets to know this and beats him. When he grew up, he killed his father and the serial killings started by him. The scene then shifts to the present.
Akhil Paul, one of the directors of the project had hinted that the production team is planning for a sequel of this film. On the other hand, Tovino Thomas stated that he would love to play Dr. Samuel once again with all new energy if the script comes out well.
The Hindi language remake of this film is now available to watch on ZEE5 featuring Apte as police officer Megha Sharma, while Massey plays the role of forensic officer Johnny Khanna.
