Synopsis – Cyber Hell is an Korean film which released on 18th May 2022. This film is directed by Jin-seong Choi. The cast of this film is not revealed yet, however some portion of the trailer of this film is shown the characters of this film. This film is based on the true story of Cho Ju Bin and the trailer of this film also showed the real arrest of the same person. This film will premiere exclusively on online video streaming platform Netflix.
Cyber Hell: Exposing an Internet Horror indeed based on the true story of the Doctor’s Room and the Nth Room cases which took place in South Korea between 2018 and 2020. This film covers the sexual exploitation of young women and girls using chat based app like Telegram and even rape of over 100 girls and most of the victims being teenagers.
The story of this film is based on the Nth Room Case. The story will show the truth of these cases by following the story through the eyes of two college age victims, a group of journalists who were involved in uncovering and bringing attention to the case, and the police officers, who were trying to find the real identities of Baksa and his subordinates. The story in this series will be shown by the animations, real news headlines and the interviews and archive logs of the incident.
The other story is of the Doctor’s Room case related to the same case as the Nth Room Case. It was run in 2019 by a man nicknamed as Baksa meaning doctor in Korean. He was involved in the sexual exploitation of young girls by posting part time job openings on Twitter and collection personal information of the applicants, after then using it to blackmail them into filming sexual videos of themselves. Baksa was later caught by the police to be a man named Cho Ju Bin and sentenced by the Supreme Court to 42 years in prison.
