Synopsis – Theal is a 2022 Indian Tamil language action film written and directed by Harikumar. The star cast of this film includes Prabhu Deva, and Samyuktha Hegde in the lead roles. The story of this film is inspired by the previous South Korean film Pieta in 2012. This film marks the directorial debut of Harikumar and produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green.

The story of this film is based on a debt collector Dorai, a ruthless, cold hearted henchman who works for a loan shark named Paulraj. The story of this film takes a drastic turn when a woman barges into his house and claims that she is his mother. Dorai tries to turn over a new leaf moved by her affection, but can he do so after having ruined the lives of so many people before.
