Synopsis –
Kaathuvaakula is an upcoming Indian Telugu language Comedy, and Drama film filled with romance directed, written by Vignesh Shivan. This film is produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios and is distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin under his banner of Red Giant Movies. The starcast of this movie are Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. The music in this movie is given by Anirudh Ravichander and the cinematography and editing is done by Vijay Kartik Kannan and A. Sreekar Prasad respectively.
After the grand success of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan released in 2015, Director Vignesh Shivan had planned to write the screenplay for a Romantic Film on a trio. The initial plan of the director was to shoot with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role with actresses Nayanthara and Trisha which were under consideration for the female roles. Then later in 2016, Director Vignesh announced Vijay Sethupathi as the lead actor and Nayanthara as lead actress in his movie. This is the second collaboration of Vijay and Anirudh Ravichander with Director Vignesh after Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
Initially this film was announced with Nayanthara and Trisha in the female lead roles. But having conflicts with Trisha’s exit from the project citing schedules, Samantha Prabhu was announced later as the female lead role in this upcoming film. This film is the third collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara after Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Imaikka Nodigal released in 2015 and 2018 respectively and both directed by Director Vignesh.
Coming to the story of this film, the public will see the romance of Rambo (Vijay) with Kanmani (Nayanthara) and Khatija (Samantha). This movie was completed shooting in 2020 to 2021 and released on 28th April 2022.
