Synopsis – Paapan is an upcoming Indian Malayalam language film filler with crime and thriller. This film is directed by Joshiy, written by RJ Shaan, and produced by David Kachappilly, Raaffi Mathirra under the production house of David Kachappilly Productions, and Iffaar Media. The star cast of this film are Suresh Gopi in the lead role along with Nyla Usha, Neeta Pillai, Kaniha, Asha Sharath, and Gokul Suresh in the supporting roles.
The music in this film is composed by Jakes Bejoy with cinematography and editing is performed by Ajay David Kachappilly, and Shyam Sasidharan respectively. The filming began in March 2021 and the shooting of this film took place in Kanjirappally.
The principal photography of this film began in March 2021 in Kanjirappally. This film will be a family oriented film. The shooting of this film was halted due to Suresh Gopi getting infected while shooting with pneumonia and being hospitalized. After discharge from hospital of the lead actor, the shooting of this film was restarted on 16th December 2021 cnd completed on 02nd January 2022 and the final schedule of this film was shot at Pata, Kottayam on January 9th, 2022 and completed till February 2022.
This project was officially announced in February 2021 when Suresh Gopi announced that he will be collaborating with the director Joshiy. The official title and the poster of Paapan was also released in February 2021. It was also reported that writer RJ Shaan, cinematographer Ajay David, and composer Jakes Bejoy were also to be the part of this project. Also this film marked the first time on screen collaboration with his son Gokul Suresh.
