Synopsis – The Hunt is a 2020 American Action, Thriller, and Horror film directed by Craig Zobel and written by Nick Cuse, and Damon Lindelof. This film was released on 11th March 2020 in the UK and 13th March 2020 in the US. It stars Betty Gilpin, Hilary Swank, Ike Barinholtz in the lead roles and this film is produced by Jason Blum, and Damon Lindelof under the banner of Blumhouse Productions, and White Rabbit Productions.

The songs in this film are composed by Nathan Barr while the cinematography and editing is completed by Darran Tiernan, and Jane Rizzo respectively. This film was distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures. The runtime of this film is around 90 minutes.

The Hunt was first announced in March 2018, and the cast was assigned a year later. The shoot took place in New Orleans. Initially the first official release of this movie was scheduled for 27th September 2019, However due to some scenes not completed, the production house decided to delay it.

This film was made with a budget of 14$ million dollars and due to the first wave of covid pandemic, all the theaters were shutted down due to the countrywide lockdown restrictions resulting this film was not able to make so much profit and collected around 16 million dollars which was a less figure what expected by the makers. Later, Universal made this film available digitally from March 20th.

Let’s talk about the story, this film is based on a group of elites gathered by someone for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt the ordinary Americans for sport. But the story takes a dramatic turn when the master plan of the elite is about to be derailed because one of the Hundred, named as Crystal knows the Hunter’s game better then they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off one by one as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman at the center of it all.
