Boman Irani OTT debut with a chilling thriller

The veteran actor Boman Irani is now going to make his OTT debut with a chilling thriller Masoom. Masoom is an upcoming web series scheduled for its premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. Masoom is a Hindi language psychological thriller set in a small town in Punjab. It is created by Gurmeet Singh and the story is based on the previous 2018 release Irish Drama series Blood by Sophie Petzal released on Disney+ Hotstar.

It stars Boman Irani, Samara Tijori, Upasana Singh, Manjari Phadnis,Saariika Singh, Veer Rajwant Singh and Manu Rishi in pivotal roles. This series premiered on 17th June 2022. The chilling thriller screenplay of this series is written by Ginny Diwan and this series is directed by Mihir Desai.

The story of this series is at the opposite side of what we have already seen on OTT platforms. Masoom is different from the thrilling OTT shows, it’s a chilling thriller. The choice of the star cast is just on point.

Story starts with Sana returning to her home in a small town in Punjab after the death of her mother Gunwant (Upasana Singh). The relationship of Sana with her father Dr. Kapoor (Boman Irani) is not good. This leads to Sana believing that the death of her mother was not accidental. The further story of the series revolves around Sana trying to prove her father guilty for the death of her mother.

Masoom revolves around the story of family relationships and the secrets that exist in families. The mysterious story of this thrilling family drama surrounding the Kapoors and Sana’s past unravel slowly which is keeping the viewers engaged with this show.

Viewers will also see talented Upasana Singh in a serious role after ages in this series. Upasana has been so typecaste in comedy roles and in some films and on the Kapil Sharma Show. So the viewers are not used to seeing her in his role. But in this series she has done a commendable job in her role.

Masoom is produced under the banner of Reliance Entertainment by Namit Sharma while the cinematography and editing is handled by Vivek Shah and Mannan Mehta respectively.
