On the occasion of her birthday Sari Pallavi has surprised her fans by the announcement of her new film ‘Gargi’. This film will be directed by Ritchie (2017) fame Gautham Ramchandran. The actress also uploaded the official poster of this film on her social media account.
The music of this film is composed by Govind Vasantha while the cinematography handled by Sraiyanti and Premkrishna Akkattu and the editing is completed by Shafique Mohamed Ali.
The director Gautham wanted to cast someone who is a “natural performer” and then he chose Sai Pallavi for the lead role of Gargi. Gautham said that “She has this girl-next-door image. What she brought to the film was irreplaceable”.

Gargi will be the first film for Sai Pallavi in Kannada and she has dubbed her lines. During the shoot of this film she learnt the language pretty fast even on the fifth day, everyone including Rakshit Shetty was surprised. Gautham said that she is a perfectionist and simply nailed it.
This film has wrapped up under 55 to 60 days of filming and the shot took place at various places like Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. However the official release date is not published yet but the audience can expect the theatrical or direct OTT release for this film in under 3 months.
Currently it is unclear that the movie release will be theatrical or this film will pick the route of OTT. The story behind Gargi is, This film is going to be an intense drama about a woman who is fighting for justice. The film is jointly produced by Ravichandran Ramachandran, Aishwarya Lekshi, Thomas George and Gautham Ramachandhran.
