Synopsis – Senzo: Murder of a Soccer Star is an American, English language docu-series scheduled to be released on 07th April 2022 exclusively on web based video streaming website Netflix. This documentary series is directed by Sara Blecher, and produced by Storyscope and Real Eyes with Thandi Davids, Neil Brandt and Tendeka Matatu as the executive producers. Netflix was announced to release this series on 22nd March 2022 with its South Africa Twitter handle.
This documentary series is based on a high profile murder of a famous South African National Soccer Team captain Senzo Meyiwa, the docu-series tells us the story of how the beloved captain was shot dead in her girlfriends Afro pop singer Kelli Khumalo’s Mother’s House.
There were six eyewitnesses at the scene, some of them are close friends of Senzo, the case is still going on trial. The question here is, were all of them involved in this or was this a cover up for something more cruel about to happen.
