Synopsis –
Rudra: The age of darkness is an Indian psychological crime, and thriller web series. Which was made for the Indian television brand Disney+ Hotstar. This streaming web series is the remake of British Web Series Luther by Neil Cross. This series is completed under the direction of Rajesh Mapuskar while music is composed by Siddharth Pandit and Japjisingh Valecha. This web series is produced by Sameer Nair under the banner of BBC Studios India, and Applause Entertainment and editing is handled by Antara Lahiri.
The original release of this series was on 04th March 2022 on the online streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar. This series has 06 episodes all released together on 04th March. In April 2019, Applause Entertainment acquired the rights to remake Luther drama series from BBC One. Then in April 2021 Disney+ Hotstar announced the show collaborating with Ajay Devgn as lead with Applause Entertainment and BBC Studio India.
The reports came in April 2021 that Ajay Devgn cast as the lead role in the Rudra series and the female lead will be Esha Deol, and other stars who roped in the main roles in this series are Raashi Khanna, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar and Ashish Vidyarthi and in January 2022 Satyadeep Mishra and Tarun Gahlot were confirmed as the main roles in this series.
This web series is based on the crime thriller scenes and this series marks MegaStar Ajay Devgn’s debut in the OTT platforms. Ajay Deogn is already so popular for his on screen portrayal of a cop. Ajay Sir will be seen in the intense avatar in this web series.
